Century of Design ✦ Japanese Design Stamps
This project was focused on creating a fictional stamp promotion for the USPS, centered around different periods of design. This set includes an envelope, stamp sheet, cancelation seal, and information card, which highlights the featured designers Ikko Tanaka, Kazumasa Nagai, and Yusaku Kamekura.
A particular element that went through many phases was the cancelation seal. Getting it just right was essential to expressing the design period, while keeping the elements legible and formatted correctly for the USPS usage.
